I am writing to urge the Senator to reject any deal with the Republican caucus that would allow the government to implement a ban on federal funding to any healthcare centers that provide transgender healthcare services. Not only will this harm, even kill trans people who will have nowhere to acquire life-saving medications, the Republicans have already proven that they will not honor their spending agreements and the electoral optics also frankly suck. LGBTQ+ are reliable coalition voters and throwing trans people under the bus is going to depress turn-out. It also sends the signal that the Democratic Party will not stand up for anything, and will vote to continue funding an authoritarian regime that is visiting daily cruelty across the nation without accountability. Reject any deal that implements funding bans on transgender healthcare services. Thank you.
