Defend public health data access, reject censorship.

I am deeply concerned about the removal of vital health data and resources from federal websites by the Trump administration. Purging information on topics like HIV, LGBTQ+ health, adolescent well-being, and infectious disease surveillance represents an alarming act of censorship that undermines public health efforts and scientific integrity. This action creates dangerous knowledge gaps that will impede our ability to understand and address critical health issues affecting vulnerable populations. Restricting access to evidence-based data and educational materials is antithetical to the principles of transparency and informed policymaking that should guide our public health agencies. These unilateral website purges, driven by an ideological agenda, threaten to roll back decades of progress in promoting equality, combating stigma, and advancing preventive care. We cannot allow political motivations to compromise the free flow of vital health information to medical professionals, researchers, and the public. I urge you to speak out forcefully against this suppression of scientific resources and data. Our representatives must take decisive action to protect the independence of our public health institutions and ensure unfettered access to the full breadth of research and monitoring efforts. The health and well-being of all Americans, especially marginalized communities, depends on preserving the availability of comprehensive, evidence-based information from authoritative sources. Surrendering to ideological censorship would be a dereliction of our government's duty to uphold public welfare.
