I am a constituent from Centennial, writing about Propositions 134 and 135. Preliminary results show both passing: one bars transgender students from school sports teams that match their gender identity, and the other restricts gender-affirming surgeries for transgender minors. I am urging you to invalidate or neutralize both measures in whatever way possible. Specifically, I ask you to: 1. Introduce or support legislation in the 2027 session to amend or repeal these measures to the fullest extent state law allows. 2. Support and help fund legal challenges, including claims under the Colorado Constitution and civil rights law. 3. Use appropriations, oversight, and shield-law protections to keep transgender youth, their families, and their providers safe in Colorado. These measures target some of the state's most vulnerable kids, and I do not accept the election results as the last word. I want to see you defend transgender youth publicly and use every tool your office has. Please reply with your position and what you plan to do.
