Public Input Must Be Part Of The Tooele Valley Installation As Well As All "Utah Inland Port Authority's" Installations Around Our State The lack of transparency, ecological study, and public input is unconscionable and undemocratic. Utah Clean Infrastructure Coalition; • Utah has the worst air quality in the nation as wildfires burn across the very counties where UIPA is fast-tracking gas-powered data centers and other development. • "UIPA's public financing statewide now tops $1.3 billion, subsidizing projects that threaten Great Salt Lake with minimal environmental review." • "The Tooele Valley UIPA project proposes to discharge concentrated waste water into wetlands transitional to Great Salt Lake, fast-tracked through a process that has bypassed critical scrutiny of water quality and wetlands impacts." • "Great Salt Lake cannot afford more industrialization of its shoreline. UIPA must stop rubber-stamping projects that put the lake, our air and water, at risk." These are just the most egregious of the Authoritarian implementations involved with the existence of the Utah Inland Port Authority's actions. A Constituent Disgusted With The Way Republicans Are Throwing Away Democracy, And Returning The Country Back To An Age Of Racism & Poverty Of The Dark Ages.
