I am writing to express serious concern regarding the leadership of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under Robert F. Kennedy Jr. aka RFK Jr. His continued promotion of vaccine skepticism and repeated, widely discredited claims linking vaccines to autism undermine public trust in science and put lives at risk. At a time when the nation depends on clear, evidence-based public health leadership, this pattern of misinformation is deeply troubling. Confidence in vaccines and medical guidance is essential to preventing disease outbreaks and protecting vulnerable communities. I also want to address a matter that, while unusual and disturbing, speaks to broader concerns about RFK Jr.’s judgment and credibility. He has reportedly described in his own writings about an incident regarding how he cut off a dead raccoon’s penis. This is not hyperbole or a fabricated claim, but one drawn from RFK Jr.’s own account via his 2001 diary entry that was publicly reported on. Matter of fact, here is an excerpt from New York Post investigative reporter Isabel Vincent: “It would foreshadow Bobby’s later life — such as when he scooped up a road-killed bear on a New York State highway in 2014, dumping it in Central Park when he realized he needed to catch a plane. In his diary, he writes about cutting off the penis of a road-killed raccoon in 2001, while his ‘kids waited patiently in the car,’ so that he could examine it later.” While personal behavior alone may not determine fitness for office, such admissions raise legitimate questions about the seriousness, reliability, and standards expected of someone entrusted with leading the nation’s top public health agency. Given these concerns, I urge you to exercise your oversight authority to ensure accountability and to consider appropriate actions, including impeachment, if warranted. HHS leadership must uphold the highest standards of scientific integrity, responsible communication, and public trust. The health and safety of the American people depend on it.
