Condemn Trump's Rhetoric Calling Democrats "The Greatest Enemy"
To: Gov. Cox
From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT
March 23
I need you to publicly condemn President Trump's statement that the Democratic Party is "the greatest enemy America has." This rhetoric is dangerous and contradicts everything "Disagree Better" stands for.
On Sunday, Trump declared that "the greatest enemy America has is the radical left, highly incompetent, Democrat Party." He followed this by attacking individual Democrats, calling one a "low IQ" politician and another "the worst candidate I have ever seen." House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries warned that Trump should "keep his reckless mouth shut before he gets somebody killed." The US Capitol Police reported over 5,000 more threats against members of Congress and their families in 2025 than in 2024.
You've built your reputation on civil discourse and finding common ground. When the President of the United States labels half the country's elected officials as enemies, that's not disagreeing better. That's inciting violence. Your silence on this makes "Disagree Better" look like empty branding.
Use your platform to call this out. Americans who believe in your message are watching to see if you'll defend it when it matters most.
