A nationwide “Don’t Say Trans” bill has been introduced in Congress: H.R. 7661. If passed, it could censor LGBTQ+ voices, especially transgender voices, and force schools across the country to remove books from their libraries and force educators to remove references to transgender people and transgender issues from their lessons. Your member of Congress needs to hear from you NOW. Tell them public schools should be places where young people can learn, explore ideas, and see themselves reflected in the stories they read.
