I have written you my representatives a total of 6,072 times over the past few years. Today, my 6,073 is THE most important I have ever written. We are in serious trouble. Not from the price of gas or silly culture wars. Our President has not only destroyed our countries founding principals for his personal power, he has destroyed the world order. An order that was lead by the United States. Economically, politically, culturally and morally. Respected. Even idolized despite our imperfections. This world no longer exists. The state of the world order was recently summarized by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in a speech at the World Economic Forum. Carney correctly announces the irrelevance of the United States as “middle powers” unite against geopolitical authoritarianism. Trump has defined a new world order - us against the world. A world that uses tariffs as an economic weapon, ignores long standing relationships, takes what we want, abandons our moral responsibility that comes with great power. Projects our military might when and where we want without international consult. Ignores NATO, looks the other way at the actions of dictators. Plunders the world for only our economic gain. We win they lose. Bully rather than respect and negotiate differing opinions. Lies to the world. Abandons our values. The importance of the rule of law, responsibility to help struggling nations, feed the less fortunate, wall off our neighbors. Get in line or face the hammer. Sadly, we did this to ourselves. We elected an unfit, uneducated morally corrupt leader. You all stood by and let him rule without checks to his power grab without consequences. We cannot how we got here, only how we move forward. Trump now wants billions to expand his unchecked military might. Pay for it by taking funds from basic, critical services. “We can’t afford day care.” America First was a cruel lie. His campaign slogan should of been “Make Me King, Make Me Rich.” We are at a true crossroad. Congress must stand against funding a vast, historical expansion of Trump’s military state or we will live in a world of endless military conflict. Return OUR money and focus to serving the needs of our people. Restore our long held moral values of honestly, liberty, democracy and the rule of law. I am begging you, pleading to you to stand up, do your jobs and stop this while there is still time.
