Support the House War Powers Resolution on Iran

To: Rep. Maloy, Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee

From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT

June 4

Vote yes on the House concurrent resolution to rein in Trump's unauthorized military operations against Iran. The House already passed it 215–208. Now the Senate needs to follow through. This conflict has exceeded 60 days without a formal declaration of war or proper congressional authorization — that is a clear violation of the War Powers Resolution, full stop. Mike Johnson called this measure "very dangerous." What's actually dangerous is a president conducting open-ended military operations without congressional approval. The Senate has blocked this before, and that failure set a damaging precedent. Senator Fetterman's previous opposition was wrong then and would be wrong again. The law exists for a reason — to keep any one person from dragging this country into war alone. Do your job and pass this resolution.
