I am writing to request that you take focused efforts to remind voters across this country that President Trump’s tariffs are the largest tax increase in American history which will increase costs for all consumer goods including food, cars, and fuel. More importantly, this tax increase is being used to pay for a massive tax cut for the wealthiest Americans while also further isolating us from our allies and the free trade world order which the U.S. helped to build. Our retreat from the world stage will leave us poorer, more isolated, and less important. I am asking you to talk about the impacts on consumer goods and Trump’s massive tax cut every where and at all times. Use all media outlets, all social media platforms, and host town halls in Republican districts to highlight how little Republicans care about their voters. Tie this millstone around their neck. Finally, you should continue to attempt to override the authority for these non emergency Tariffs. I am counting on you.
