You geriatric bastards were all alive for the hard fought victory of the civil rights movement with its reforms, integration, outlawing discrimination, and our entire society focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. You watched a hard fought victory, saw amazing things happen to you, the people around you, and the people you now speak for. How could you be alive for such a monumental historical moment and still try to repeal it and steal those rights back? You are in the sunset of your life and couldn’t even let the victory last through your lifetime? Before we let a convicted felon run the country everyone in America had the same human rights and were able to freely express themselves and choose their life partner without strangers preventing them and infringing on their rights. Our country was literally founded on protest and every citizen has the constitutional right to peaceful protest, except suddenly students, even though they shape the world they will live in. We are all supposed to have the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Thanks to all of you corrupt officials choosing to be human centipede to a psychotic felon’s asinine rants (while ignoring numerous accused crimes and no impeachment or jail time for over 30 felonies) who were constitutionally ordered to provide checks and balances to prevent these atrocities; women have lost rights, non-heterosexual relationships are losing rights, trans people have lost rights, people of color are losing rights, and votes are preparing to be stolen from millions of people of color, women, and dissenters. If someone has different human rights within the same country, then you have made it not a right, but a location based privilege, which is absolutely unacceptable. We have masked officials kidnapping, deporting, and killing people because “crime must be stopped“ but every single person they have detained committed a fraction of the crimes our own president has. Felons cannot legally vote, but we’re letting one speak for our whole country? Felons cannot purchase weapons, but we’re letting our felon president just start an illegal war and there is still no recourse? We have impeached sitting presidents for much milder crimes and scandals. When will you wake up and do your job? When will you join the right side of history?
