I beg you to vote no on the “continuing resolution“ coming before you. I include those quotation marks because I do not believe this bill ought to be called a continuing resolution, as it contains significant changes as to how the executive and legislative branch of government appropriate money. Specifically it overtly takes power away from Congress – our elected representatives as the American people – and gives it to the executive branch. This is unconstitutional and dangerous. Any budget, whether “continuing” or otherwise, must obey existing law and the principles of checks and balances. Vote NO on this deceptive bill!
