I am adamantly opposed to ICE converting any warehouses or any buildings in our state into detention centers. I am appalled by what I have read about the conditions at existing detention centers, which are run like prisons, which never turn the lights off (which I'm fairly certain is a torture tactic that is illegal), which serve bug-infested foods, which do not provide adequate medical care, and which incarcerate children and prevent them from attending school. We are the bad guys right now, and that is unacceptable at a national level, and absolutely must not be repeated in our state.
