I am writing to express my deep concern and urge immediate action to end U.S. support for what has been identified by international experts as genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Recent reports, including those by UN-appointed experts and leading human rights organizations, indicate that Israel's actions in Gaza meet the legal definition of genocide. The UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, has stated there are reasonable grounds to believe that Israel is committing genocide. As a nation committed to upholding human rights and international law, it is imperative that the United States reassess its stance and cease any form of support that enables these violations. Continued military and financial aid to Israel without accountability fosters impunity and undermines our moral and legal obligations under the Genocide Convention. I implore you to take a stand against these atroc ities by supporting measures to: 1 Implement an arms embargo against Israel. 2 Impose sanctions to pressure Israel to comply with international law. 3 Advocate for a UN-mandated independent investigation into allegations of genocide. It is crucial that we act now to prevent further loss of life and uphold the principles of justice and human dignity. Your leadership and action on this matter are vital.
