What do you stand for?

To: Sen. Crapo, Rep. Fulcher, Sen. Risch

From: A constituent in Kuna, ID

May 15

I need to express my concerns. Let's start with the "Big Beautiful Bill." I hope you've read every word. Few voters would accept a bill that reduces taxes on the wealthy while cutting support for the vulnerable; or eliminates legislation that protects them but allows companies leeway to produce dangerous products, dump toxic chemicals, and exploit workers. There's more, but I need to be brief. I'm concerned about the eroding of the rule of law, and the use of government power to target those who disagree or dissent. I'm concerned about the economy, which contracted in the 1st quarter of 2025 for the first time since 2022. Tariffs will hurt America's working people. The U. S. shouldn't annex anyone, or separate ourselves from the international community or our allies. I'm concerned about President Trump's fascination with dictators. Supreseing free speech, attacking political enemies, and inappropriately invoking The Alien Enemies Act and declarations of emergencies are means to consolidate and intensify administrative power and undermine government by the people. Dont let the administration continue to usurp congressional powers. Stand up to the weaponization of political power against critics of the government. Re-establish the true definitions of "war" and "emergency." Protect the economy and the vulnerable. Restore the rule of law.
