I am fed up with powerful people acting like they’re above the law and morality, hurting folks and getting away with it. I am furious with their fellow elites protecting them from justice until they can use it to serve their broader agendas. Those who claim they are fit to lead must show enough leadership to acknowledge that certain acts disqualify you from public office regardless of party identification. It is clear that both Swalwell and Gonzales took advantage of their position to get away with exploiting and abusing women, and neither of them should be allowed to remain in the House of Representatives. It is also clear that they are facing the appropriate consequences for the wrong reasons. Please uphold this very basic standard in these upcoming votes, and please do so in the future without consideration of which side of the aisle they’re on.
