Keep Ukrainians in US

To: Rep. Fry, Sen. Scott, Sen. Graham

From: A constituent in Myrtle Beach, SC

July 27

The United States Congress should pass legislation allowing Ukrainian nationals who have fled to the United States due to the Russian invasion the opportunity to apply for permanent residency and eventually pursue citizenship. As our ally faces an unwarranted and brutal assault, we have a moral obligation to provide safe haven to those displaced by the conflict. By extending a path to legal residency and naturalization, we can offer refuge as well as a chance to rebuild their lives and contribute to American society. This humanitarian measure aligns with our nation's core values of compassion and democracy while strengthening ties with the Ukrainian people during their hour of need.
