Vote no on the Homeland Security funding bill

To: Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee

From: A constituent in Springville, UT

January 24

"Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God." D&C 18:10. Notice, please, that the scripture does not say "the worth of U.S. Citizens is great in the sight of God." It also does not say "The worth of only people who have not broken the law..." or "The worth of white people..." No. The worth of every living person--every soul--is great. Any look at the events in Minnesota, Maine, and beyond shows that ICE does not hold that same respect for human life. You can uphold the laws while still upholding human dignity. ICE is out of control. I urge you to vote against any funding bill for Homeland Security that does not reduce funding for ICE and significantly reform it. These officers need better training, better self control, and more accountability for their unhinged actions. God believes that worth of souls is great, as do I. Show that you believe it, too.
