Veto of Worker Protection Act

To: Gov. Polis

From: A constituent in Denver, CO

May 17

I’m very disappointed that you vetoed the Worker Protection Act, siding with corporate lobbyists and billionaire backed investors. We’re the only state with this outdated rule and it’s time we give rights back to workers and working families. As a Colorado constituent who voted for you, and a DCTA Union member, this veto also affects me directly. The current negotiations with DPS and the Union are going poorly and you just gave them more ammunition to keep stalling and not negotiating in good faith. I’d like to see you with more progressive policies.
