Veto HB8
To: Gov. DeWine
From: A verified voter in Beavercreek, OH
December 19
HB8 is a forced outing bill and harmful curriculum bill. It blocks free speech of students and teachers. It discriminates against LGBTQIA+ parents and families, which will cause harm to some of our most vulnerable kids. These kids have higher rates of suicide than any other group and this will prompt more of those horrific events. Mandating transportation for religious education during the school day, to people who are not background checked or vetted the way that school staff are, puts children at risk. Not to mention, the violation of the separation of church and state, which opens to door to any group who is interested. Our students deserve for school to be a safe place for them and this bill threatens that safety. Please veto it.
