I am a constituent and I urge you to oppose any further U.S. military intervention in the Middle East. The cycle of escalation perpetuates suffering—not security—and jeopardizes innocent civilian lives while destabilizing entire regions.
1. Stop further escalation in the Middle East.
Military intervention has repeatedly proven ineffective in delivering long-term peace. Instead, it fosters resentment, undermines trust in U.S. leadership, and diverts resources from domestic priorities.
2. Critique Israel’s conduct and U.S. support.
While Israel is a key ally, unchecked military aid and diplomatic backing enable serious violations of international law, including displacement, collective punishment, and civilian casualties in Gaza and the occupied territories. We must insist on accountability and a strict adherence to human rights—regardless of the actor.
3. Resist any new military entanglement in Iran.
Provocations may lead to irreversible conflict with Tehran, drawing the U.S. deeper into a quagmire and increasing the risk of regional war. Diplomacy—not bombs—must drive U.S. strategy toward Iran.
We need bold leadership that prioritizes humanitarian diplomacy, international law, and conflict resolution over aggression. Please use your platform and vote to oppose any authorizations or appropriations that fund military action or enable human rights abuses in the region.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
