Stop the transfer of any Kisatchie National Forest lands in Louisiana. While framed as rural economic development, the risks are real: 🌲Permanent loss of federal habitat protections 🌲No guarantee the land stays public 🌲Local entities can't absorb management costs 🌲Broad "public purpose" uses with no guaranteed outcomes Kisatchie is Louisiana's only National Forest. It supports hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation, protects watersheds, and is relied upon every day. Keep it that way. It's the only way to keep it safe for all of us in Louisiana. I use the Kistachie Nation Forest very often, for hiking, swimming, wildlife photograph, and I would hate if one day it's not public land for me to use.
