The CDC is being politically compromised in real time, and I need you to act. When two Pennsylvania residents died from measles, HHS Secretary Kennedy publicly disputed the state's findings and the CDC removed the deaths from its website. That is not science. That is suppression. The worst measles resurgence in decades is growing, vaccination rates are falling, and the agency responsible for protecting us is being silenced.
This isn't just about measles. Dr. Georges Benjamin of the American Public Health Association put it plainly: if this happens with flu and COVID, "more people will get sick because they won't know what to do." The breakdown in trust between states and the federal government that Dr. Anne Zink describes is exactly the kind of damage that costs lives. CDC Director Erica Schwartz should be publicly urging parents to vaccinate their kids as school starts — instead, she's nowhere to be found.
Push back. Demand that the CDC restore accurate, unaltered disease data to its public reporting. Hold hearings. Use every oversight tool available to stop political interference from gutting the agency Americans depend on when outbreaks hit.
