Library restrictions

To: Gov. DeWine

From: A verified voter in Oregon, OH

June 26, 2025

I am writing to ask you to veto the provision in Ohio’s budget that would place all books related to sexual orientation and gender out of the view of readers under the age of 18. As a long time advocate of public libraries, as well as a small-government conservative, I believe you understand that public libraries should not be restricted by government overreach, but rather governed fairly by the discretion and values of the communities they serve.
