You need to act — right now — to stop the Trump administration's policy of separating children from their parents during deportations. This is not a border security measure. It is deliberate cruelty inflicted on children, and it is happening in our name.
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists have documented what this policy looks like in practice: children torn from parents with no clear reunification process, no timeline, no accountability. These are real families, not abstractions. The harm done to children by forced separation is severe and lasting — psychologists have compared it to torture. No enforcement goal justifies that.
Your office has the power to speak out, co-sponsor legislation to prohibit family separation, and use every oversight tool available to demand answers from ICE. Silence is a choice. I expect you to use your voice and your vote to end this policy before more children are permanently scarred by it.
