The Environment is Under Attack, Again
I care about clean water, wilderness and public lands
I care about clean water, wilderness and our public lands. So, I urge you to oppose H.J. Res. 140, which would roll back longstanding protections that keep mining out of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness watershed in northern Minnesota.
That safeguard exists for a reason: the area’s waters drain directly into the Boundary Waters and the risk of contamination would threaten clean water, wildlife habitat, and an outdoor economy that thousands of people rely on.
Once public lands are polluted or industrialized, we don’t get a do-over.
Many of your constituents care strongly about protecting the Boundary Waters and our public lands. Please vote NO on H.J. Res. 140. Thank you.
