I know you're on all kinds of war-related committees, Senator, but you are also on the Board of the Kennedy Center. Monday the 16th is a very important Board meeting, and it's being held at the White House. Please please please please please, please attend that meeting! The Kennedy Center has maintained and renovated its facilities for decades without requiring closure. With careful planning by qualified administrators, which admittedly have not been in place for the last 14 months, a large venue like the Kennedy Center can easily remain open to fulfill its mission despite all types of renovations. And you know Trump only wants to close it because he's in a snit over bad press about cancellations and ticket sales. But if it closes, it will be too easy for him to destroy it. I'm afraid it may never open again to the symphony, ballet, opera, ballet, chamber music, theater, and other forms of the performing arts that Trump does not value. Please please please please please, please attend that meeting! Save the Kennedy Center! And remind the Board that only Congress can change the name of the building .
