A little over 30 years ago, in Budapest, Ukraine signed a memorandum to dispose of its nuclear arsenal in return for the U.S., the U.K. and Russia to guarantee to not use economic and military means to attack the country. Russia deliberately broke that promise by invading Crimea and Eastern Ukraine. Today, our President is serving the invaders as he has always served Russia since inviting them into the Oval Office. The absolute betrayal of Ukraine by both Trump and Elon Musk this week by taking Starlink offline and allowing Kyiv to be attacked openly should be condemned. The fact the Republican party and all of you are absolutely silent in the face of this betrayal speaks volumes. I am old enough to remember when the United States was an example of Democracy instead of rapidly becoming the axis of evil in alliances with dictators around the Globe. The World is creating new alliances as a result and we are truly as President Zelenskyy said this week "on the wrong side of history". It is past time to hold this President and his henchman Musk to account and remember who our real allies have always been which does not include dictators like Putin.
