I urge you to reject the reconciliation bill being presented today. This bill provides massive tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy at the expense of working families, cutting vital programs like SNAP and Medicaid that millions rely on. It prioritizes the wealthiest one percent while making life harder for those struggling to get by.
Additionally, this bill fails to fulfill key promises, such as ensuring no taxes on tips—something many hardworking Americans were led to believe would be protected. Worse, it also cuts critical tax benefits for American farmers who put food on our tables. At a time when farmers are already facing economic hardship, stripping their support while giving handouts to the rich is unacceptable.
Instead of enriching the already wealthy, Congress should be focused on policies that support working people, family farmers, and communities that depend on these vital programs. Please stand against this harmful bill and work toward legislation that benefits all Americans, not just the wealthiest few. I will be closely watching your vote on this issue.
