Why are you ignoring the wide-ranging impacts of DOGE on Virginians and the state economy? There are more one hundred thousand Federal employees living and paying taxes in Virginia. Your “Virginia jobs” website is a pitiful response. What about all the Federal contractors living in Virginia? They will lose jobs too, and those contractors are a major part of the state’s economy. But these job losses are just the beginning as cuts to federal research, education, agriculture and environmental grants will impact ordinary Virginians statewide. Alabama Senator Britt and other Republicans have spoken out on how DOGE cuts will hurt their state, why can’t you? Attorneys General in other states are taking action to stop the illegal actions of DOGE but Virginia Republicans are applauding or silent. With state-wide elections coming in November you are setting the stage for a Blue Wave
