Currently Doge is shutting down the National Endowment for Humanities which is a very tiny % of the budget! This isn’t about fraud, waste and abuse! This is about gutting all federal government . And for what? So that huge tax cuts can be given to billionaires! So that all government can be privatized! Our country and everything that makes it rich, multi- cultural and unique is getting gutted. Research for cancer and Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s ….. is now stopped due to cuts in NEH. National Parks now have long lines due to cutting rangers. Actual fraud, waste and abuse can’t be investigated as all IG’s were fired. Libraries have lost funding! The former socisl social security commissioner states that the cuts in staff in an ever expanding program that already suffered a shortage of workers will cause a death spiral to the program. Already the on-line system has gone off-line and the wait to get customer service is over two hours. But that was the point- to break it so that it can be called inefficient and privatized. Something millions of Americans don’t want! And on it goes! Now the tariffs that are tanking our stock market, businesses and our economy are affecting the global economy! Meanwhile the President is calling a cease fire for 90 days on his tariff threats! Where does it end? When do you step up? The President can only bypass Congress and threaten all of us with tariff through an emergency act which Congress can stop! When will you? Congress has the ability to take back the power to review and authorize tariffs. When will you? Congress has the ability to stop doge cuts as doge ( by the Presidents statements) is an advisory body only! When will you call that out? We don’t need a mute Congressman! We don’t need someone who serves billionaires and their interests. We need someone who serves us! We all want you to do your job! Your words mean nothing! We know you’re quite skilled at talking! We want to see actions on our behalf!
