You should represent the people
To: Rep. Hageman
From: A constituent in Cheyenne, WY
November 7, 2025
I am a registered Republican in Wyoming. I have lived here my whole life. You unfortunately represent me. And you should be ashamed.
Along with your colleagues, you continue to actively HURT your constituents. 29,000 Wyomingites use SNAP benefits. And yet you stand by and let them go hungry. Speaker Johnson is doing nothing to end this shutdown. He refuses to come together with Democrats to compromise on healthcare. What is the problem with helping people keep their healthcare?
Forty two thousand Wyoming residents rely on ACA marketplace insurance plans. An estimated 20,000 residents of Wyoming will have to choose between bills and healthcare. It’s estimated that Wyoming residents specifically could see a 400% increase in ACA premiums. But I’m sure you already know that.
Why won’t you pressure the house leadership to negotiate? Why do you want people to suffer? Have you no shame? No compassion? I realize as a member of the house from Wyoming, you don’t have much power, but it sure seems like you are content to fall in line. How sad.
While you get a paid vacation (seven weeks now?), federal workers are starving, SNAP recipients are starving, people without healthcare will die.
How can you stand up and try to tell us that you represent our interests? You do not. People are suffering and will continue to suffer. Healthcare is essential to so many Americans. Food is essential, and pay for those furloughed workers. You are killing not only the economy but also hard working people. You are causing harm to hungry children, the elderly, and the disabled. You are complicit in this suffering. If you are a religious person, you should not only beg for forgiveness, but also do the right thing.
