I want to thank the representative for opposing HR 9495 in last week’s house vote. This bill is a horrific attack on free speech that would give the incoming Trump administration free reign to blacklist their opposition as terrorists. Trump, his allies, and the authors of the deplorable Project 2025 have been clear about their aspirations to authoritarianism and desires to undermine democracy, domestically and through foreign policy, and their specific attacks on the voting rights of Black, Indigenous, and people of color as well as women. It is imperative that they not be given further tools to enact their horrific agenda. I ask the representative to remain steadfast in her opposition and vote against HR 9495 as it returns to the floor this week.
