I was appalled to wake up this morning to learn that we are at war with Venezuela for no reason at all. They pose no immediate threat to the US. The Trump regime clearly did this without congressional approval. Congress must resist this effort to avoid the checks and balances that are in place. We should not be going to war with Venezuela. I expect you to do everything you can to stop this illegal action, and prevent further incursions, and work to ensure that this destabilization in the region doesn’t escalate.
