Support H.Res. 353 to Defend Our Democracy and Remove Donald Trump
To: Rep. Hinson
From: A constituent in Cedar Rapids, IA
May 13
I am writing to urge you to support H.Res. 353, the resolution to impeach and remove Donald Trump from office for high crimes and misdemeanors.
This resolution clearly outlines seven grave charges: obstruction of justice, violation of due process, usurpation of Congress’s appropriations power, abuse of trade powers and international aggression, violation of First Amendment rights, creation of an unlawful office, and bribery, corruption, and tyranny.
Each of these represents a direct attack on the foundations of our democracy and a betrayal of the American people.
Allowing Trump to remain in office after these blatant abuses is not only dangerous, it is an abdication of your duty to the Constitution. If H.Res. 353 does not pass, it will signal to future leaders that they, too, can violate the law, suppress dissent, and dismantle our checks and balances without consequence.
This is not about partisanship — it is about preserving the rule of law, protecting civil liberties, and saving our democracy from authoritarian collapse.
I urge you: stand on the right side of history. Support H.Res. 353. Remove Donald Trump from office before the damage becomes irreparable.
The American people are watching. We will remember who defended our democracy and who enabled its destruction.
