Fascism and dictatorship on parade

To: Sen. Ernst, Sen. Grassley, Rep. Miller-Meeks

From: A constituent in Iowa City, IA

June 13

This weekend, the president will celebrate his birthday with tanks and military airplanes in the US capitol. A show of strength intended to stole his ego and frighten his detractors. Celebraythe anniversary of the army, if it needed to be done so ostentatiously, could have been done any other weekend in order to avoid the appearance of being for his birthday. This is his birthday present to himself. Power. He controls the military and not just for what is needed to protect the country and its interests, bilut for whatever his whims might desire. He hates California and it's progressive policies and democratic government. So he takes their national guard and federalizes their troops in order to stoke the fires he started by specifically targeting their state with ICE raids that are not taking place in other states. Then he sends United States Marines in also, to show his power over the military. These are the tactics of a dictator, not of a president. Months ago, when we found out the parade would cost the American tax payers $45 million dollars to have the parade for his birthday, I asked you to stop him. Now a judge has ruled that the way he federalized the national guard troops was illegal and unconstitutional. When are you going to stand up to do your jobs? Impeach the dictator and show him that this country, our America, has no kings!
