An Open Letter

To: Rep. Ross, Sen. Tillis, Sen. Budd

From: A constituent in Raleigh, NC

February 10

You are duty bound to serve the people of North Carolina. Elon Musk is not an elected official. DOGE was never established by Congress and thus has no authority to act. You must hold Elon Musk and everyone else in DOGE accountable. Elon Musk and his employees have unprecedented access to the data of private citizens. Citizens who DID NOT vote for Elon Musk. Elon Musk is acting without oversight, and there is no transparency regarding how he is storing the data he accessed and retrieved. His actions, and the actions of those under him, are exposing all Americans to untold data security risks. Foreign countries have already interfered with previous elections. What more damage could they do if they were to access the data of everyday American citizens? You were elected to serve the people of North Carolina. Serve them by holding Elon Musk and DOGE employees accountable. Serve us by protecting our data. Serve us by demanding transparency. I live and vote in your districts. The people of North Carolina are watching. If you refuse to challenge the extralegal actions of DOGE, and indeed this administration at large, then we will campaign to replace you.
