Support War Powers Resolution
To: Rep. McClintock
From: A constituent in El Dorado Hills, CA
January 9
I am writing to urge you to vote yes on the War Powers Resolution that has passed the Senate. This resolution is essential to restoring congressional authority over military action and preventing unauthorized military operations that could drag our country into unnecessary conflicts.
Recent military actions initiated without proper congressional authorization represent a dangerous precedent that undermines the constitutional separation of powers. Congress has the sole authority to declare war under Article I of the Constitution, and this resolution reasserts that fundamental principle. The American people deserve transparency and accountability in decisions that could put our service members at risk and commit our nation to military engagement.
I ask that you take a clear stand by voting yes on the War Powers Resolution and supporting legislation that prevents any administration from bypassing congressional authority on matters of war and peace. Your constituents are watching how you vote on these critical issues of law, constitutional governance and accountability.
Additionally, I urge you to demand the immediate release of the remaining Epstein files and investigate who is delaying the full release and why. Transparency and accountability are essential to maintaining public trust in our institutions.
