You say you will “push for clear explanations of how federal decisions affect taxes, public services, and the overall federal budget and that responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars is not optional; it is essential.” For profit prisons are making billions from detention of immigrants with no criminal charges. This is costing Americans millions in wasted tax dollars. ICE quotas for detention only serve to line the pockets of the prison owners and do not keep us safe. I urged you to stop this wasteful spending and force ICE to only focus on real criminals!
