Reject SAVE Act's unjustified voting barriers to protect democracy

To: Rep. Maloy

From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT

April 9

Please vote no on the SAVE Act. It imposes overly strict requirements to prove citizenship for voter registration that create unnecessary barriers, especially for vulnerable groups like the elderly, low-income, minorities, and disabled citizens lacking easy access to such documents. Voter impersonation is extremely rare, making this legislation a solution seeking a non-existent problem. Reject this bill that undermines democracy by erecting unjustified hurdles for eligible voters to exercise their fundamental right. Protecting election integrity is crucial, but the SAVE Act's approach risks widespread disenfranchisement.
