I need you to publicly oppose President Trump's threats to attack civilian infrastructure in Iran. Targeting civilians is a war crime under international law, and Congress must act immediately to prevent this escalation.
Trump has defended attacking civilian targets and issued ultimatums warning that "a whole civilization will die tonight" if Iran doesn't comply with his Tuesday deadline. These threats violate the Geneva Conventions and put millions of innocent lives at risk. No foreign policy objective justifies mass civilian casualties.
Congress has the constitutional authority to prevent unauthorized military action. Use every tool available: public statements condemning these threats, emergency resolutions blocking funding for strikes on civilian targets, and direct communication with military leadership. The American people did not elect you to stand by while the President threatens war crimes.
This is not about defending Iran's government. This is about upholding the laws of war that protect civilians everywhere, including Americans. If we normalize attacking civilian infrastructure abroad, we abandon the moral authority we claim and invite retaliation against our own people.
