In yet another short-sighted "America first" move, the president has withdrawn the United States from the World Health Organization. This lets him more effectively ignore and deny the next pandemic that occurs on his watch. California's governor responded by announcing that California would join WHO separately from the federal government. Every state should follow California's lead on this. The free exchange of public health information can save lives. Sharing should not stop at our national borders. Colorado and all other states should take their cue from Gov. Newsom and apply to join WHO.
