Voting is a right of all American citizens, whether they are black, white, Latino, transgender, married, or single. The poorly worded SAVE Act will make it harder for people to practice their duty to vote, due to requiring their identification to match their birth certificate. You may think that this is sticking it to transgender individuals, but it also makes it harder for married women. Please do not approve this bill in its current incarnation, work on some revisions & inclusivity. If a South African oligarch can buy an election, then a trans person who has legally changed their name should be able to vote too. This act of bullying is going to cause more harm than good.
