As your constituent who works in the performing arts I encourage you to support the National Endowment for the Arts. The withdrawal and cancellation of hundreds of grants from the NEA will cause serious damage too many arts organizations across the United States and especially in our area. Those grants fuel and arts and culture industry that employees upwards of 5.4 million people and contributes 1.2 trillion to our nations GDP. Do not allow the president to abolish the NEA and with it the idea that the arts are a common good to be shared by all in our democracy.
