Petition to Congress: Reaffirm Admiral Correll’s Duty to Reject Illegal Nuclear Orders Please contact Admiral Richard Correll, Commander of U.S. Strategic Command, and remind him of his legal and constitutional duty to refuse any unlawful order involving the use of nuclear weapons. As STRATCOM commander, Admiral Correll holds one of the most consequential responsibilities in our government. U.S. military law and long‑standing norms require service members to reject illegal orders, and that principle is especially critical when nuclear weapons are involved.
