This legislation proposes amending existing law to require certain federal waivers for continued Medicaid expansion eligibility in Idaho. The Medicaid expansion has provided healthcare coverage for many low-income Idahoans who previously did not qualify for Medicaid or could not afford private insurance. Imposing additional waiver requirements could restrict access to healthcare for vulnerable populations and undermine the intent of the Medicaid expansion. I urge you to vote against this bill to protect healthcare access for Idaho's citizens and maintain the successful implementation of Medicaid expansion in our state.
