Urgent action needed to protect our public land and national parks

To: Rep. Wittman, Sen. Warner, Sen. Kaine

From: A constituent in Ashland, VA

March 21

I am writing to express my deep concern for the protection of our national parks and public lands: These treasured landscapes are not only vital to our nation's natural and cultural heritage, but they also provide immense environmental, recreational, and economic benefits to millions of Americans. As your constituent, l urge you to take a strong stand in safeguarding our national parks from threats such as climate change, industrial development, and inadequate funding. I ask that you advocate for increased protections and funding for the National Park Service to ensure these lands are preserved for future generations. Additionally, I encourage you to write to the Secretary of the Interior to emphasize the importance of protecting our national parks and public lands. The Department of the Interior plays a critical role in managing these spaces, and we need strong policies that prioritize conservation over exploitation. Many Americans sacrificed to create these National parks. We need to protect this land. We need to protect these parks. Protecting these public lands is not just an environmental issue—it is an investment in our country's future. Please take action to ensure that our national parks remain protected, accessible, and well-funded. I appreciate your leadership and I look forward to your response on this urgent matter.
