I am writing to you today to urge you to vote against the so-called "big beautiful bill" or the "fat ugly bill" as it should be known. Apart from stripping healthcare from the most vulnerable North Carolinians (reminder that approximately 3 million out of NC's population of 11 million people are on Medicaid) and other senselessly cruel provisions just so the least vulnerable people can get even more tax cuts, this bill will also limit the courts' already limited ability to enforce rulings against the executive branch, ESSENTIALLY MAKING THE MAD PRESIDENT INTO A MAD KING. History WILL NOT look kindly on those who usher in this age of cruelty and nonsense governance. DO THE RIGHT THING BY THE PEOPLE OF NORTH CAROLINA AND VOTE NO ON THIS AWFUL, HORRIBLE BUDGET BILL.
