I am writing to urge you to oppose the construction of any data centers in our state. These buildings are harmful and generative AI houses a long list of problematic concerns. Recently, there have been at least 4 deaths by suicide that ChatGPT has been linked to (https://youtu.be/hNBoULJkxoU). All of this is in addition to the fact that ChatGPT and other generative AI programs can provide misinformation, simply scrape creators' already made content, and may contribute to cognitive decline in users (https://www.media.mit.edu/publications/your-brain-on-chatgpt/). Utah should not contribute to these damages.
