An Open Letter

To: Sen. Moody, Sen. Scott, Rep. Dunn

From: A constituent in Tallahassee, FL

October 20

We really need privacy laws that cover online stalking by corporations. I’m a mom of teen daughters, and trying to keep every online entity from keeping seemingly every keystroke and then using it against us is exhausting and currently impossible because there are no laws against this. We need bans on surveillance pricing and algorithmic wage distortion. We need prohibitions on selling personal data. We need protections from corporate abuse. And the answer isn’t just to stop using the companies - they’ve put more ethical options out of business at this point. We need regulation now.
